Learning, Friendship, and Fun in Our Saturday ABA Group

At Hope Autism Services, our Saturday ABA group provides children with opportunities to learn, grow, and connect with peers through engaging group-based activities in a supportive environment. This winter, the children participated in festive Christmas-themed activities, including gift wrapping, where they practiced fine motor skills while also learning the social meaning and context behind holiday traditions. These hands-on experiences help children better understand socially appropriate interactions and build confidence in everyday situations.

Our Saturday group focuses heavily on social development through natural environment teaching, allowing children to practice important life and communication skills in real-world settings. Through different activities, like games and crafts, children work on turn-taking, critical thinking, conflict resolution, and building meaningful peer relationships and friendships. By learning together in a fun and interactive setting, the children continue to strengthen their confidence, independence, and ability to connect with others.

A Special Visit from Our Local Firefighters at Hope Autism Services

Last summer, Hope Autism Services had an exciting and educational day at the facility as local firefighters stopped by for a special visit. The children had the opportunity to explore the fire truck up close, learn about the equipment firefighters use every day, and ask questions while speaking directly with the firefighters. It was a memorable experience that brought lots of smiles, curiosity, and hands-on learning for everyone involved.

We’re excited to share that photos from this special day are now available in the Gallery section of our website. Be sure to check them out to see all the fun moments and celebrate this wonderful experience with us!

Hope Autism is World Cup Ready!

The children in Hope Autism Services Saturday ABA Therapy Group recently celebrated the excitement of the upcoming World Cup with a variety of soccer-themed activities. Together, they transformed the facility into a World Cup-inspired space, decorating with creative soccer-themed artwork and displays. The group also customized their own personalized jerseys, encouraging creativity, self-expression, and teamwork.

To bring the spirit of the game to life, participants took part in soccer games, and group-learning and skill-building activities. These activities provided opportunities to practice important skills such as following instructions, taking turns, working with peers, and engaging in cooperative play, all while staying active and having fun.

The celebration also included soccer trivia, where the children learned interesting facts about the sport and tested their knowledge. Through decorating, designing jerseys, playing soccer, and participating in trivia challenges, the group enjoyed a fun and engaging experience that helped build communication, social, and teamwork skills while creating lasting memories together.

Trick-or-Treating Adventures at Hope Autism Services

Halloween at Hope Autism Services was filled with excitement, laughter, and plenty of sweet treats as we took the children trick-or-treating to visit local businesses nearby. Dressed in their creative costumes, the children had so much fun going door-to-door, collecting treats, and sharing smiles with everyone who welcomed them so warmly.

This special outing was a great opportunity for the children to enjoy the magic of Halloween while building confidence and social skills in a fun, supportive environment. They practiced return and exchange communication, learned about Halloween traditions, and gained an understanding of social expectations, such as knocking, greeting others, and responding accordingly.

At Hope Autism Services, experiences like these help bridge learning in the classroom into the outside world. We are so grateful to our amazing neighbours for helping make the day so memorable and for creating such a positive experience for our Hope Autism community. Be sure to check out all the fun moments by visiting the Gallery section of our website to view the photos from this special day!

Open House at Hope Autism Services

Hope Autism Services recently hosted a wonderful Spring Open House where families and guests had the chance to celebrate the incredible talents of our Saturday ABA group. The highlight of the event was the amazing performances where the children put on, where they wrote their own script, created their own props, and directed and acted scenes. Through their hard work, they were able to showcase and develop their hard work, creativity, and public speaking skills in front of an enthusiastic audience.

During our Winter Open House, the children had the opportunity to invent and create their own games, completely by hand, From designing the rules and crafting the game, this project allowed them to explore problem-solving and critical thinking in a fun and meaningful way. The games were showcased to parents during the Open House, allowing the children to practice public skills with the parents.

These events were filled with excitement, smiles, and lots of support from our Hope Autism community as we celebrated the children’s achievements together. The photos from our Winter and Spring Open House are now available in the Gallery section of our website, be sure to check them out and relive these special moments with us!
