Halloween at Hope Autism Services was filled with excitement, laughter, and plenty of sweet treats as we took the children trick-or-treating to visit local businesses nearby. Dressed in their creative costumes, the children had so much fun going door-to-door, collecting treats, and sharing smiles with everyone who welcomed them so warmly.
This special outing was a great opportunity for the children to enjoy the magic of Halloween while building confidence and social skills in a fun, supportive environment. They practiced return and exchange communication, learned about Halloween traditions, and gained an understanding of social expectations, such as knocking, greeting others, and responding accordingly.
At Hope Autism Services, experiences like these help bridge learning in the classroom into the outside world. We are so grateful to our amazing neighbours for helping make the day so memorable and for creating such a positive experience for our Hope Autism community.
