Introducing Dima Alsakka, OT Reg. (Ont.), our Occupational Therapist at Hope!

At Hope Autism Services, we’re excited to introduce Dima Alsakka, OT Reg. (Ont.), our dedicated Occupational Therapist! She is passionate about helping children build the skills they need to become more independent, confident, and successful in their everyday lives.

Occupational therapy (OT) focuses on helping children develop the practical skills needed for daily activities at home, school, and in the community. Every child has unique strengths and challenges, and Dima helps create individualized therapy plans that are tailored to each child’s goals and interests.

Through engaging, play-based activities, she helps children develop skills such as:

  • Fine motor skills for writing, drawing, and using utensils
  • Sensory processing and self-regulation
  • Hand-eye coordination and motor planning
  • Daily living skills, including dressing, feeding, and personal care
  • Attention, play, and participation in everyday routines

At Hope Autism Services, our OT works closely with families and our multidisciplinary team to ensure children receive comprehensive, individualized support that helps them thrive across all environments.

Whether your child is working toward greater independence, improving sensory regulation, or building foundational motor skills, occupational therapy can make a meaningful difference.
